activities

Chalet Pearl is set in a spectacular natural playground with numerous activities on offer all year round - perfect for families.

In addition to world-class skiing, snowshoeing, ice climbing, cross-country skiing and ski touring in winter, Champagny and nearby Bozel offer myriad summer activities for all the family.

Champagny's swimming pool has a retractable roof and grassy lounge area with cafe, overlooked by mountains. Next door is a public football pitch for all to enjoy. The many well-marked hiking trails in the Vanoise park are within easy reach - some begin right from the chalet. And, surrounding nearby Bozel's stunning lake (with swimming and watersports) are: tennis courts, playgrounds, football and basketball pitches, beach volleyball, trampolining and inflatables, a pump track and more.

Courchevel's Aquamotion, one of Europe's biggest water parks, is also 20 minutes away. In summer those with mobility issues can enjoy the stunning panoramas and lunch on the terrace of mountain restaurants at the top of the Champagny and Pralognan gondolas.

HIKING IN THE VANOISE PARK

Chalet Pearl is ideally located for keen hikers as it is on the edge of the large, protected Vanoise (pictured) - France's oldest national park - which has 600kms of well-marked walking trails for every level, including 200kms in Champagny. Some of these can be done from the chalet, others from Champagny Le Haut, a short drive away or at nearby Pralognan - capital of the Vanoise park.

There is an abundance of wildlife to be enjoyed here -  you can spot marmots, ibex, chamois, birds of prey, butterflies and flowers (including edelweiss) on these. Many walks also reward the weary with stunning views and mountain-top refuges, which provide drinks, meals and even a bed for the night.
