Just two hours from Geneva and Lyon, Chalet Pearl nestles at the end of a sleepy cul-de-sac in the centre of Champagny, La Plagne. Devoid of crowds and tour operators, Champagny was voted 'best unspoiled alpine village in France' by Daily Mail Ski magazine.

The chalet is five mins walk to the supermarket, boulangerie, butcher, bars, restaurants and just 10 mins walk to the express gondola. This whisks you to the slopes in just eight minutes.

Champagny is part of the vast La Plagne resort, in Paradiski. While Courchevel is also just 20 mins drive away, part of the three valleys: the world's biggest ski area.

Chalet Pearl also borders France's oldest national park - the Vanoise - a haven for hikers and nature lovers in summer. Meanwhile, Bozel, five mins drive away, is perfect for families. At its centre is a picturesque lake, fringed by mountains, with supervised swimming, showers and watersports.

Children's playgrounds, three tennis courts, a running track, football and basketball, pump track and mini fun park surround the lake and Champagny boasts a swimming pool with retractable roof.
